Pretty cool boats! Notorious for rot though just like any other boat that's made out of wood though!!

My friend has a 415 Stinger. Great boat. Heavy, needs lots of HP. Gets looks of admiration everywhere. He just had it repainted.

Fenderjack, I had an 82 39 foot and it was a very nice looking boat. I got it when it was only 4 years old and it was a mess. Stringers rotted out just forward of the fuel tank and suspect bulkheads. You would not believe how poorly it was constructed. I spent quite a bit of resources making it right but never trusted the boat. It is still around and no problems that I know of. Just be ready for structural issues if they have not been addressed by a PO. The previous poster mentioned that they need power, that is an understatement. If you want to go 60+, pick out a different boat

The Excalibur Hawk 40 was the same boat. Built by Bill Farmer. They were hand laid, unlike the Chris Crafts. Much better built.
