Thumbs up Safe boost with meth 50/50 mix

Its 600 with 8.200:1 compression, supper chiller, Dart pro heads, 260 intake at 50 and 268 exhaust at 50. 714 lift intake and 731 exahust 114 deg. It has a new Whipple 8.3 blower on her running 10PSI of boost at 800feet. Runing 91 fuel timming is locked at 32. Plugs are l Ngk 8s. What do you think is safe running meth 50/50. Was thinking 13-14psi would be 100% safe. Afrs around 11.5 Two 12 gph nozzles of meth.
Thank u

While your assumption is probably correct, I'd mount some kind of air intake temp gauges/probes in the intake, after the intercooler. I don't think i'd want to see air intake temps getting close to 200* on pump gas. I'd also look into a knock sensor/retard system. The methonal is amazing stuff, but without a failsafe device, should a nozzle clog or pump fail, it will be melting stuff. You'd probably want to talk to eddie young on something like this.

Not sure how fast you're wanting to go in that thing, but adding meth and additional 4-5psi of boost is gonna be some serious power. You may want to even look at forgetting the meth, installing the whipple intercooler, and still prob be ok at 12psi and see a substantial gain in power.

I think you need to back down timing to about 28, if you are using the meth inj to cool only run more water than meth....at the boost level you are now I think you should be fine..if you want to go up run 93 and more water in your mix...you should be making some serious power at this point....

Yes i am run 93 my bad. I want to run 13+ PSI i am running 50/50 blend because i want the meth to add motor octane. The blower is 10% overdriven now going to 20% this weekend looking for 140mph.
Thank you Skydog

I would definitely retard the timing. I'm not a whipple guy but I know with that kind of cam and a procharger you could put 16lbs into it safely with no water meth. The water meth stuff is usually used to cool down the intake charge rather than add octane. Mainly when not running an intercooler. If your running that motor on the ragged edge you better hope you have a good meth kit cause if the solenoid doesn't come on you can kiss your motor good bye. I know in the past the water meth kits were not very reliable and guys spent big money figuring it out...

Yea I understand, my meth kit is very soild. The way it is set up and wired, I am worried about plenty of other parts failing first!! Lol And talking to Dustin Whipple he sets them up 12-13psi all day on 93. So I feel if I have a failure I should be ok to catch it.
Thank u for the input guys

have you considered running E85? that has like 110 octane if you blend it..

I'd be careful retarding the timing too much. We don't wanna melt exhaust valves
