Default Cummins Diesel Titan Confirmed

Looks like Nissan wants back in on the truck game. Looking forward to seeing the real life numbers on this.

That's the best way to do it, no doubt.

Cummins had v8 a long time ago. We are installing one of these engines into a united pot smokers truck here at work for field testing. Supposedly there are others with over 250,000 miles already. Hopefully Nissan keeps all the ECM equipment so I never have to work on them. It will be a bastard to work on them in a small pick up platform.

Next thing you know they'll be selling out to Toyota. It will be interesting to see numbers vs dodge's Cummings. Mostly price.

it's been a poor seller since introduced, rumored to kill it off at any time...terrible brake issues from couple of guys I know who bought them...along with crappy MPG as well...

The 6b with dodge is a mid range engine and this one is a light duty. Dodge puts it in a 3/4, 1 ton, and heavier apps. There is supposedly going to be a mid range version of this engine also for the smaller over the road trucks like the f-650 etc.

I heard Dodge is making the trucks for Nissan. Dodge has a agreement with cummins so they cant put a motor in anything that will compete with them.so you will prob. be getting a junky Dodge with a good motor.
