Default 24-7 engine hatch clearance with bbc

Hello all. I'm in the process of restoring my pantera 24-7.

The boat will be a standard deck height 509 bbc with emi thunder stainless riser exhaust.

I started measuring and I'm going to have to use a low profile flame arrestor to clear the hatch, if at all.

I really want to maintain the hatch upholstery pad and not have to use a scoop.

What have you guys fit under a stock hatch with no scoop?

X dimension is 17.5 so the engine sits fairly high.

Thoughts or better yet, pictures of what you guys have fit.

Thanks, rob
