Tabs too big?
I have a 27' squadron XII. Recently presented with the opportunity to buy a set of in the box 380s tabs for cheap. Can I benefit from these or would they be too big for my boat?
Thanks!

Buy the 380 tabs and install them. If you find they are too big, you can swap someone plates for plates; and you will end up with 280s and some cash in your pocket. The 280s and the 380s normally are identical, except for the plate length.
You will find a dozen takers within 24 hours should you make that post offering to swap plates.

I do believe there is a thing of too big. When boating in big water, on certain hulls, the long 380 tabs can get you in trouble (stuff bow). Also, sometimes, the larger tab can hurt planning if the tab is too close to the propeller, washing away water from it. Not saying you shouldn't try them, just thought id mention it.
