353049. The valves are 2.06/1.72, chambers are 122 cc +/-, and the port size is 256/114.

The 049 is very similar to the 781 casing. Its been proven many times on the dyno that the 049 or 781 with 2.19/1.88 valves installed will out perform stock GM rectangle port heads on a NA 454 up to about 5500 rpm

Be forewarned though- By the time you buy some old castings and rebuild them with good (not Great) parts for a marine engine you're going to be very close to what you will have into a new set of aluminum heads. The aluminum heads will blow them away in every area. I almost went down this path 5 years ago until I did the math. Add some porting and you will have more in them than new aluminum heads. IMO they are not a good value even if you are on a budget.

Now if you could grab a set for $600 all rebuilt that is a different story.
