Default Seawater/fuel pump mounting bracket for V-belt?

Trying to finish my 509 project and the sea water/ fuel pump will not fit in the mounting bracket? Itis slightly too big around? I bought my boat with no engine and had a core gen V 454 given to me with accessories. from my research It looks like 1 style of pump braket was used with the v- belt setup but the seawater/fuel pump I bought here is a 1 piece housing and no way it will fit. Is there another style bracket that was used? Mine has just 4 bolt holes I think this one used the old style 2 piece pump housing?

I don't have a lot of experience with this stuff so I need some help! I don't want o spend $500 or more for a new pump?

Thanks in advance...... TBF

the pump goes on backside of bracket, ports are normally up and down(suction-bottom, discharge-top). I prefer to put pump on bracket then position on engine, better to tighten bolts, less chance of cracking housing.

Yes, I figured it goes on the back and it looks like it lines up real nice with the center of the triple pulley....... the pump has 5 mounting bolts yet the bracket only has 4? it looks like if it were to actually fit then maybe 3 bolts could be used but is sets the fuel pump almost vertically? I got something wrong here for sure.... I cant post pix but maybe can someone send me a PM or email that I can send a pic for posting? my email is my screen name at the yaahhoo site......thanks... yes the fuel pump is on top not side. make sure to fill cavity with gearlube. the drain plug should be on outboard side. the impeller/housing kit comes with long and short bolts.
