Default How many Beep Beep racing boats were there?

Hi Everybody,
Newbie here. I live in Colorado so do not currently have a boat, but will be eventually be moving back to Long Island New York and will be looking for an old Cigarette to restore (I'm more interested in the historical value of these boats than the horsepower aspect). As the years go by, I often come into contact with various very interesting oldies boats and hate to see them rot away...

Anyway, I wanted to know if there was only one 32' Cary sport deck boat called Beep Beep, or was there a few Beep Beeps made?

if you want to find a boat and have it fully restored front to back or anywhere in between shoot me a PM. Opening a shop in Syracuse NY soon and is going be a heavy hitter in restoring and customizing.

Personally, I had always thought that what Fast Shafts posted in #2 was correct. However, I recently found out from Charlie McCarthy that there was also a 29', which 'Biggus' says is currently in Falmouth Ma. As per............http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/c...garette-5.html

Depending on where you read, there are conflicting stories over how many 38' V bottoms there were, 2, 3, or maybe even 4?

These threads make good reading.

The 38' Alum Cougar ( That Halpern was Killed in ) was Run as Michelob Light. I don't think it ever ran as "Beep Beep" AFAIK

That boat Biggus refers to is Beep Beep too. A friend owned it up to a few years back. Dave Warner bought it from Halpern and raced it as The black duck M21.in the late 70's. The boat is up the street from my house last time I knew. I could be wrong too. I have not paid much attention lately to it.

Is this the original one? If so it would be a hell of a boat to restore.

Brian, Carlos hauled down to Falmouth a couple years ago in hopes of re-rigging it. Sadly, nothing has happened but last I saw, it was still shrink wrapped.
