8-71 littlefield blower
Heads are gmpp ported. They flow 321 at 6 and 335 at 7 I just had them done
2.30/1.88 inconel valves
170closed 460 open installed 1.95 new springs for hyd roller but I can change if need be
Je pistons Oliver rods and dragonslayer crank
2 900 prosystem carbs that aren't built yet till we decide everything else
Superchiller
3500 pound boat 26 eliminator Daytona 2001.
Bmax new style 1.30
Btm msd ignition
Cmi big tube wet headers
Boost will be 5 to 9 pounds just don't know what to do yet. But would like to keep it at 1/1 or under driven
I'm having a hard time finding a cam. So please chime in with any suggestions. It's difficult to choose from. Also would like to know the best lifters to run with cam if hydraulic is the way

you would be very happy with a crane hyd roller, off the shelf cam 139651.i used this cam in a pair of blown 540s with chillers under 8.71 blowers with dart 320 heads.950 hp at 6500 rpm.this was with 9.5 lbs of boost on 92 oct pump gas.

If you do some searching you will see everyone mention bob Madera. All good. No bad. When I build motors for something he will be my first call.

Rmbuilder is his name on here. Marine kinetics is the company.

I agree, crane cams are a mixed bag. Definetly give Bob a call

Thanks mike I will look into both of your suggestions. And the other so far I have heard of him on here from reading and will do the same. So far mike tkach ^^^ has been a big help too from the time of buying this boat so he deserves a lot of credit on this forum also. Someone on this forum under camshafts said to call Chris straub too I'm just trying to do it once and be happy with the boat. Since I've gotten it I've only got to use it for a total of 1 hr but been out 10 times so that should explain all the new parts too! I'm excited as heck to see what this motor will do vs the old badly built motor, but glad I could save a good few parts that came with it. And mike one of the reasons I do use Patrick is he built all of our drag stuff for years but this whole marine thing is completely different animal! But I will look at those like I said. Right now I will look at the cam then off to bed. Thx guys so far.coolcowboy:

i 100% agree that bob is very well versed ,espically at choosing the right camshaft,i was just stating a cam that worked well in a very similar engine as the op is building.
