Default Use "The Right Stuff" in place of circ pump & t-stat gaskets?

Was dressing out my engine, and realized that I had misplaced my water pump (circ pump) and thermostat housing gaskets. Also need one for the fuel pump blockoff plate. I have heard a lot of people say the the Permatex product "The Right Stuff" is the catz azz in gasket makers, and was wondering if I can get away with just using this stuff in place of the aforementioned gaskets. Anyone done this with success?

Thanks Mike. That's why I figured it would work for water pump and T-stat housings if folks can successfully substitute it for rubber end gaskets on intake manifolds. I have to do tax stuff tonight anyway , so I will see if I can get the correct gaskets in the morning.

BTW, had a weird issue with my temp gauge not working years ago. Thought I had a bad gauge, then after some investigation realized that I had used an automotive T-stat gasket instead of the Merc version that had the little metal conducter rings in it to establish a ground to the senders in the T-stat housing. One of those little "gotcha's".
