Woops....small dent and scratches on top of my Sport Tubes. It should be good if I can get the scratches out. Is their a DYI process besides sending it back to CMI?

Wet sand and buff. Jewelers wheel gives it the mirror finish

I dont know anything about polishing CMI tubes but wonder about the mothers polishing stuff. THoughts?

Some good stainless polishing compound might be worth a try if they are just minor abrasions. If deeper, you will probably have to wet sand with some 600, then 1000, then 1200 and follow up with a good polishing compound and finally some polish like Mother's.

Compound and buffing stainless is ok but if you want the deep deep mirror finish jewelers wheel and rouge is the way to go.

Can this bring back chrome color from mild discoloration due to heat?

Thanks for the input. I think the sandpaper process is going to be required followed by a final buffing. If all fails, there is a local polishing company that can has the right equipment to clean up my efforts
