Default 81 staggered 377 scarab, with twin 496s

I need another project like a hole in the head, but whats this thing worth??? It is apart and needs painted and interior done, everything is there to put back together

I saw that on FB. He's asking 15K maybe realistic is 7K. Said they were 496's It looks like he might be selling it for what he has into the engines IF he built them. Check for the usual rot in the stingers and transom.

I was thinking the same, I talked to him, he bought it like this with the motors, dont think he has done much to it at all, going to look next week unless he parts it. Could be a nice project if there is no rot.

After all the work in a rebuild you might want to find out the history on the boat to see what it raced as or if it was a race boat. Is it a Scarab from Florida or Cali ?

I looked at the boat yesterday and it is trashed, told the guy he would be better off selling what he could and scrap the rest, has been sitting uncovered for a while now and every place I stepped was soft. It is a raised deck, and I'm doubting it was a race boat at any time.
