Truck Dilemma

I am wondering if anyone can tell me if I can swap the pickup bed on my '92 K1500 Reg. cab, Chevy Z71 short bed with the bed from a comparable year that has an extended cab? No one seems to know!!!

Measure from the back of the cab to the center of the rear wheel opening. If the same it should work I would think, or go to a Chevy truck forum..

I don't think its the same but measure. Also depends on the frame mounts etc. The extended cabs were built at only 1 plant then- Oshawa.
