Procharged 502 Mag Oil Cooler Recommendations
I searched and searched, nothing I found could help...
Winter upgrades will include installing a couple of new M1-SC (with associated upgrades & programming) to two 502 MAGs.
I know there are many items that are needed for the 502's to live a long, happy, healthy life so I am compiling some necessary info. The first being upgraded oil coolers.
What is available? Does anyone have any recommendations? These are going in a confined engine compartment of a BAJA BOSS 302.
I am already dealing with slight oil pressure drop at or near WOT for any extended period due to rising oil temps.

Planning on it. Going to pull the rails and send them to Eddie Young to be modified.
What is anyone's thoughts on using this adapter for a wide band 02 sensor?

Have something better?

I am also shopping oil coolers for my M3 Procharged 502. Last year I ran the stock oil cooler. With no thermostat my engine runs around 110 degrees water temp. My oil would never warm up above 110 degrees until I ran the boat hard. For that reason I am considering one of these. http://www.cpperformance.com/p-26867...k-adapter.aspx

The thermostatic adapter the Hadley referenced is a great choice. We have used quite a few of them. There were some issues with the first few, but they have that worked out now.
As for a cooler, a cooler with a 3" x 12" bundle from Hardin will do just fine at that power level. A cooler with a 3 x12" bundle will be about 16" long overall. That will cool up to 700-750 if you run it really hard, and quite a bit more if you only run it really hard periodically.

I am having Eddie do my fuel system which requires the elimination of the cool fuel and pump.
Is there an oil cooler that can go in place of the cool fuel? I will pick up the thermostatic adapter to run with one if I can get it to fit.
Seems like a good location.
