Default Merlin Intake on a 454

Thoughts on using a Merlin intake on a .030 over 454 with AFR 305cc heads w/9.5 comp. What carb would be appropriate.

Thanks

You have the wrong heads on that engine. You may not even have enough torque to get on plane.

You may want to go this route

The bitterness of mismatched parts remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten.

you need to also post your cam. The Merlin intakes have huge runners. If you are going to run a single plane go for a Dart or Vic Jr. If you are not going to spin it high, I have a nice Edlebrock Performer RPM I'll make you a good deal on.

and what is the 454 bottom end? rebuilt 330? you will never spin it high enough to get that top end breathing the way it should. afr 265's are the hot setup for stock 454's.
