Default 2014/15 duramax

What real world mileage are you guys getting? Think about a new truck 2500 or 3500 crew cab 4x4 short box single rear wheel. I had a 2002 and a 2004 and I have a 2006

2015 2500 Crew cab reg box (not long). Get 14-15 around town. Highway 18 at 80 mph. 21 at 65 mph. Towing 12-14 depending on load. Now have 8000 miles on the duramax and lifetime mileage is 16.1

2015 2500HD Denali with 2500 miles and getting 16.7 on last two tanks.

First tank- 15.1
second tank-15.5
Mid 16s thereafter

My driving is some city but mostly two lane rural with speeds 50 to 60.

Regens averaging about 700 miles after the first which was at about 500 miles.

These estimates seem genuine....... I was waiting for the overguesstimates to start: truck has 35's, runs a hot tune, full exhaust and I get 25 mpg towing my 45 ft triple engine boat and 31 cruising on the highway at 90!

Steve, I have never really checked mine but its better than the ones I had before it. Don't wait for the 2016, I understand they are going back to the 60,000 mile warranty instead of the 100,000. Hope all is well, haven't seen you guys in a lone time.

That is correct plus a price increase. The sweet spot for the Duramax is 1800 rpm. Anything over that and the mpg will go down.

Although I have a 2013, all above answers sound spot on with mine.
