Default Fuel tanks feed unevenly need a hopefully cheap fix

My htm ss24 has two fuel tanks in the back deep in the sponsons. There is no cross over pipe which would have cured this problem. My boat will draw more fuel of the right side 9 times out of 10 especially if you run it hard. I have seen it draw more off the left side once or twice. There are T-valve shut offs on each tank but a pain to shut one off to balance the fuel all the time. You have to crawl under the engine hatch and reach your arm two feet behind the side panel to move the valve. I have tried shutting one off half way but then boat seems to go to the other side, tried this many times with small adjustments but always the same result still pulls more off one tank. Anyone experienced this and is there an easy fix? Btw a cross over pipe would be almost impossible to install, tanks too deep in hull. Thanks

If the left fuel line is longer I believe it would take more suction to move the fuel. If you can them make equal lengths, bends etc . I'm sure that would get you close enless its a pickup issue.

They make electric marine fuel selector valves.

Here is one of many available: http://www.flowcontrolnetwork.com/ar...selector-valve

Ayuh,.... Plain, 'n simple, Ya Can't draw from 2 tanks at the same time, as they'll Never, ever be used the same,.....

With twin tanks, ya Must have a fuel selector valve,....

Ya can't have a fuel cross-over line like a big truck, as boat tanks draw from the Top,...
Yer not allowed any lines from the bottom of the tanks, per CG regs,....

Whether ya get an electric selector valve, or a manual, ya Gotta have one,.....

I run a by-pass type fuel pressure regulator and use the return line to balance my tanks but I still have to switch from tank to tank. With out a valve I don't think they will balance on there own.

I am not familiar with your boat at all. But it is 14 years old. Could you have a collapsed fuel line.
