Default Blower carbs what to run ?

I'm getting close to dynoing my motor and thinking about putting new carbs on it. I have holley 1150 3 circuits on it now and thinking about going new 1050 instead of dumping a lot of money in these. I have a 509 brodix bb2 heads with an bds 8-71 blower. I would like to stay with 4500 series carbs since I have air cleaners already thanks Alan

My recommendation, would be, sell the dominators off to ADK61 lol, . Order 2 new Quick Fuel 1050-B2 carbs, they are roots blower specific, boost referenced, and work great. Considering they cost around 200 bucks per carb less than the dominators, total savings on new carbs would be around 400 bucks. That 400 bucks can be put towards a new flame arrestor. Being a pump gas 509ci, those brodix heads, 8-71, I doubt you are seeing any benefits from the dominators at that level of power/boost. These quick fuels should run much nicer, and be better around the docks. I've got 3 buddys running these carbs, a 900HP 540ci with 1071, 985HP 522ci with 10-71, and 1200HP 588 with 8.3L whipple. All 3 setups, fire up instantly right out of the box, idle dam near perfect, and very minor jet changes on the dyno needed, if any.

If you really want to stay with the 4500 carbs, I'd look into these. Or holley's new GEN III Ultra dominators. Its hard to beat the QFX for the hardware/cost of them.

Hey thanks for the replys, I think I'm going to keep the 1150s for now. The engine builder says he can get those carbs to idle very good. If not some quick fuels are going on there thanks for the links mild thunder.
