Default 32 Cary question

I've stumbbled across what I believe is a 32' Cary raceboat in ROUGH condition. It appears to be a flat deck and set up for outboards, there is a P-111 number on the deck. From what I understand, most outboard Cary race boats were a cut down hull. The I/O's seem to have a deeper freeboard. This may be an I/O that was converted to outboards?? Based on the "P" number, I'm guessing it was last raced in the early 70's in Production class. Does anyone have any information on 32 Carys with flat decks and outboards?? I'll try and post a picture later. Was Bob Magoons "Andrea" a 32' Cary?

Bob Magoon had a 32 Cary with outboards, he also had a MEMCO that was a 28 footer.

His wife's name was Andrea and he used that name on a few of his boats.

There were quite a few 32 Cary outboard racers back then. Willy Myers had one and I think Steve or Billy Sirois also raced one of out Lake X.

Hi Charlie---I think there were four 32' Cary outboards. They were all 'cut down' 32' hulls, with a light plywood deck. Besides Willie and Doc---they were raced by Steve Sirois, Dale Thayer, Mike Matheson, Larry Smith, Jordan Klein, and Jerry Langer. Every Larry Smith/Scarab is a direct descendant of Doc's 32' Cary, Andrea----

Since I'm not buying it:

Is this a Cary?? The second picture you can see the mounting holes for the outboards, you can also see the 8-10" hull flange near the rubrail-consistant with a Cary.

Default Early Cary 32

I would like to continue this thread with a call out for any production drawings or data for an early Cary 32 I am working on. A custom layout it seems as I have been unsuccessful in tracking any history on the original build. It currently has twin 454 Chevy Quicksilver Mercs with V drives and transom mounted rudders and no noticeable trim tab installation. The windscreen is a unique wrap around version as is the top deck step down onto the rear teak rail. Any information would be most helpful. Sorry unable to upload photos at this time.
