Default Mercruiser 5.0 EFI - Not firing.

I'm having some issues with my boat. It's always ran top notch. Now, it's dead. Going on two weeks and I'm pulling out my hair.

I think it's possible that a lightning strike caused the damage.
I had the boat out for the day, came back in, tied it up, covered it and a nasty storm rolled in.
While I was there, the tree about 20 ft from my boat was struck by lightning.
All the lights at my dock blew out. (Just cheap xmas lights)

On the boat, I had it plugged into shore power during the storm.
I have a ProMariner Prosport 120 that keeps the two batteries charged and monitored.
Since that storm, the boat wont start and this Prosport module was 100% dead. No lights, no power out, nothing. I've since returned and had it replaced but have not installed it.

So here's what the boat is doing:
Key inserted and turned to "On"
No 2 sec fuel pump prime
Radio, blower, pump and lights all work fine.
Turn the key to start the boat, the starter cranks.
No fuel, no spark.

I picked up a Rinda Technologies CodeMate MEFI Code Reader.
Plugged it in, nothing. No LED in any state or Key on, started, etc...

I tested voltage at the plug - I have 12V at pin F.

The ECU is a MEFI-3* - Delphi - 16236999 - 866999KA00029984

Can anyone offer suggestions?

I'm fighting every urge in my body to put a carb on it and ditch the EFI.

*Edit* - I also tested the fuses, I have 12V to all three fuses and the fuses themselves are good.
I also OHM'd the two relays, both OHMd the same. I then jumped the fuel pump relay and heard the pump run.
I'm afraid the ECU is toast, also.

Simple first - fuses for ECU ?

I'm in a high lightning strike neighborhood - have had a few car's smoke there ECu's during storms. One had a lightning trail going up the dirt drive way right up it's frt liscense plate. Poor ol' Nissan. LOL.

Yes! Sorry for not mentioning.

The MEFI-3* isn't easy to find, I've been searching for one. Conversions to the MEFI-4 are a lot of cheese!!!

I have a mefi 3 & 4, you can have some one put your tune in them, mine aren't to much cheese, cheaper than Merc.

edit: are you testing the fuses in the covered connector on the wiring harness ??

Yes, the 3 fuses in the connector. If I remember right, there's a 15, 10 & 15amp. I think the 10 was for the ECU.

How much for the MEFI-3? I'm interested!

I figure it took a huge power surge. I had 4 sets of white xmas lights strung around my canopy, it blew the fuses and each bulb. lol It's amazing how much energy is in a bolt of lightning. I'm lucky I didn't get zapped!

I had a customer last year with a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox with 10K miles that was 20 feet from a tree that was struck by lightning. It came in on the hook with nothing working but the wipers that ran nonstop. After checking for obvious problems such as fuses (none blown) it was towed to the dealer as an insurance repair.I found out later the damage was so extensive it totaled a year old vehicle.
