Bellhousing and coupler for 454 and bravo
Hi. I am a beginner and need your help. I have bought a 454 BigBlock and shell mount a Bravo sterndrive.
which bell housing I need and the drive plate / coupler capable of about 400 hp?
I have the engine and Bravo transom but need to know which bell housing and coupler i need to line up the driveline in the boat.

I have 168 teeth flywheel. and the engine is a 454 BigBlock
this one is my engine

That is not the right coupler for a bravo. Here is link to the correct one for reference:

Regarding the bellhouse, that should be the right one, as long as it is post 1987 as the prior bell housings are smaller and the bravo style coupler won't fit within.
You will need the 2 long bolts, 2 fibrous washers, and 2 lock washers to bolt the bellhouse to the transom assembly too. Mercrusiserparts.com has diagrams.

it is 17 or 26 splines on the drive plate . I have seen different answers when I searched online
