Default Power Steering Pulley

I want to replace my power steering pulley with a Billet one, is it necessary to use the mandrel or can you just use the billet press on pulley? I thought I read somewhere that the press on ones will walk themselves off.

you need to use the correct puller to remove and correct threaded installer to install, if just try a press, can't see that working without destroying something...you can get them on a loaner deal from most parts stores, as far as pulleys go not sure how a aluminum one would work and all the newer pumps all use press on pulleys as far as I know
