Default Crossover problem

544174[
Bbc, stainless marine dry, harden marine crossover, thermostat will not open. Will not go over 100 degrees. Crossover is hot on right side and cold on left side. Looks like the water is circulate through the block out one side of crossover then out the bypass to the exhaust? Ran it at 5000 rpm and still no temp.

Block of the the bypass with a piece or broom handle. clamp the broom handle inside the the bypass so it wont move then run the engine see what happens. Also take the hose off the side that is hot and connect to your garden hose turn it on and check to see if their is any blockage.

Ken.

Also check to see if your t-stat is stuck open.

Tried all that and no dice. Cant block off bypass off with t stat in, the water pressure was too high and no cooling for the exhaust. Don't know what to do. Maybe go back to circulation pump.
Thanks Ken.

Where is the seawater pump "in" line feeding the engine at ????? Can't see it in the pics.

Is this the exact kit that you have??? http://www.hardin-marine.com/p-13357...th-bypass.aspx
Is everything installed exactly as shown n the directions??? Tstat maybe upside down???

I don't see it either, mine feeds fresh water at the crossover neck, and I drilled 2 holes in the Tstats. each 1/8 inch, they work great.
