Default HELP with Fragola hose and fittings

I am doing it as the instructions say. I can't for the life of me get the hose to go on the last 1/4 inch and I have the fitting fixed in a position that gives me great ability to push. what lubricant is the best to use. All I have been able to do is tear up my hands.

I am using the barbed fittings and there hose. You are supposed to put the end of the hose in boiling water and then oil the inside of the hose and the barbed fitting and just push the hose on. I just can't get the hose to go all of the way up to the plastic stop.

You need to grip the hose a few inches back of the fitting.........you know what I mean? If you are gripping it at the end that is going over the barb than the harder you push the harder you are squeezing it shut!

Exactly. It works on the same principal as Chinese Fingers. Remember that ? CAn push in, but can't pull out. Harder you pull out, the harder it grips.

I had hell with Aeroquip -8, really difficult.

I clamped a hose fitting in my mill's vise, tightened the hose end to it and had to push like hell. Doing it that way better captures the end and won't let it spin freely so you twist the hose to help it slide on.

i put a little engine oil on the fitting, then i heat about 2 inches of the hose with my heat gun.they slide right on and after the hose cools it cannot be pulled apart.

That AN installation tool looks like the way to go. Wish I had one of those when I was assembling braided on a daily basis.
