Supercharger recommendation for 575SCI
I have a 2004 575 sci with the B&M blower, No logo is cast on the blower, but that is what it looks like. I have no problems with this blower so far, although I have read these blowers self destruct without warning. I am looking at options to replace it.
1. The Dyers 8-71 conversion. no chiller needed (they say). $3900.
2. Blower shop 250 $2300 plus Teague superchiller kit $2695 for 683 horsepower.
The boat has a step hull with a notch. I don't know where to put a pickup for a chiller. Looking for advice on. Thanks!

If you pull the 250 off, do not put a 250 back on. The BS 250 is a nice piece but you will still have to spin the hell out of it, even more so with the chiller. The only reason to keep the 250 is hatch clearance...if you have room for the chiller, it does not sound like an issue. The Dyres kit is decent but you can go with about any 6-71 or 8-71 and I would still use a chiller. You really only need the right length snout, a few pulleys and a lower pulley adapter from teague.
My setup is pictured here. Stripped Littlefield 8-71 with closed discharge and whipple innercooler. No need to cut a hole in your bottom for a pickup either...they slow the boat down.

I did not Dyno it with the stock cam, EB marine did the MEFI programming. I knew the programming would work because Steve Zuckerman had the same setup. I was at like 9.5 pounds boost and it was limited to 5800rpm.
I have since had the motor built with AFR heads, Lunati Cam with morel lifters and it is about ready to Dyno.

While you are at it, ditch the stock injectors and put one of Eddie Young's plates under the throttle bodies that have 8 real injectors in it.

I installed the TBS blowers on my 575s - already had the whipple intercoolers and hatch clearance was limited - they are nice pieces and bolt right on. I had my Weiand blowers gone through by DMP - but still didnt trust them.
