Default 6.2 whipple stage 1 ecm reflash

Was considering a whipple stage 1 ecm update on my 6.2's. Anyone have any real world experience to share? Thank you

What are you looking to gain? My initial gut response would be...don't do it. 6.2s need a ton more work than a tune to perform better. Trust me. I've done it.

Just tuning assumes the stock tune is super far off optimal and you can get gains from that. I don't believe this to be the case.

ecm flash raises limiter to 5600 from 5200. Gain of 10% power =30+ horse. The goal would be to try and turn a few hundred more rpm, and pick up some top end. So long question short would the flash result in 2-300 more rpm from my existing set up?

You can raise the rev limiter but it doesn't mean the motor (cam/heads etc) will get there. Are you pinned on the rev limiter now?

It likely won't get you there. My 6.2s are 400 hp and I'm not to my limit of 5600 yet.

I have some labbed props that I expect will do it when I get around to putting them on.

So at minimum if you do it, you need labbed props.
