Default Mirrors

I'm taking delivery on a 2015 F-150 Lariat. It's late in the model year and selection is limited. This truck has basically what I want except for "trailer mirrors". So hears the question, this truck has "power fold/heat/sig/mem mirrors and led side-mirror spotlights. Does anybody know if I can add Ford OEM power trailer tow mirrors. Are they plug and play. Just curious before I ask the dealer.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

You should be able to do so. The only thing I would worry about is the power folding & extending option.
Do you have that on your current switch for your mirrors? You might want to compare it to another truck on the lot that has the mirrors you want and see if the switch buttons/options are the same. Worst case, you might need to swap out the mirror switch on the door (or dash, wherever it is).

I don't have the new truck yet. Good point, I'll take a look at a truck with the mirrors I want. New truck has power fold but not extension. That's what concerns me.
Thanks

Those mirrors have to be ordered separate now. They used to be included in the max trailer tow option. Don't know why they did that,I'm ordering a new 150 here in the next couple weeks.

I would bet won't that easy, all that stuff runs thru the body control module and most likely you will need to get that reflashed to get them to work, and will have to change switch as well I would think, they have gotten real stupid on what should be a simple deal anymore

Burn,
Yes I know about the special order. This truck was already built. Needed something right away. Could not wait for a 2016 order. Was also looking at Chevy and GMC, no dealers around here could find me a half ton with the 6.2, said they are near impossible to get.

Ez,ealer
That's what I was thinking, this won't be a plug and play. Picking up the truck on Monday, will talk to the dealer then.
