1988 320 EFI injectors?
Hi,
BOAT; I have a 2 1988 mercruiser racing 320 EFI 5.7. in my Formula 272 sr1/ bravo,
I need a manufacturer's part number for the obsoleted injectors?
I want to replace them.
I have read alot on this and other forums but havent got the EXACT part number I can use at the autoparts store to get the correct injectors. I have seen mention they are the same as a porche 928, but no mention of what year? and What exact Model 928.... frustrating
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks Mike for the good words ^^^^^
It would best to replace these with the most current offerings. Those injectors in the 320 from 1987 thru 1989 are very out dated and the spray pattern is not the greatest especially almost from 30 year old injectors - compared to whats on the market now.
I know your engine and have worked on this app before but they are very rare currently and really not many sold back in the day for Merc. alot of times the 320 was matched up with an Alpha SS drive.
Anyways I would need some of your injectors as I would want to flow match to the current offerings. I do not want one injector but say 6 or 8 would be good. I need to get base numbers and go from there to match these up. Thanks John

Thanks for the reply. Im very busy and im sure you are too, unless this is a service? and really was hoping for an off the shelf replacement injector that would perform as well or better than original new ones without having to make a time consuming ordeal for anyone. There has to be an exact replacement that someone has found. Previous threads mention this without really specifying numbers or exact applications

I also do fuel injector service and have been for 7 straight years and ONLY with marine stuff. Flow volume, spray patterns and fuel pressures are very important. Sorry I am not going to wing it and throw out a cross injector without testing them (old ones and new) nor want to be responsible for it going by what people say on the net for a replacement. If you work on boats for living as I do to - you know how it is.
