Default Suction hose

Ok. I'm doing through hull water pick ups and adding sea strainers. So the stock water hose from gimbal to pump is worthless. What are you using for these hoses? Where are you buying/ordering the lengths from?

What ever you think you need add another few feet. Always nice to have some spare if you don't use it all. Can mean a weekend on the water or not.

I have same set up. Can't imagine attempting to do with engines in. Short story about the extra pick up hose. Borrowed a friends boat for a few weeks and impeller went out. No biggy but was busy with work so had the marina put a new one in so I didn't have to mess with it. Needless to say the mechanic slit pick up hose with a razor knife and I didn't catch it right a way and of course not til after hours (water up to top of stringers). Duck tape got the job done until following Monday but... Buy a little extra. Lol

Less than a week later impeller went out again from sucking air. That's why I do all my own work.
