Sealant / adhesive for sealing foam gimble gasket to transom
Hello all.
What, if any, sealant is used to bed / seal this foam gasket?
I have a new quicksilver foam gasket for the gimble to transom seal and I want to make sure I seal it correctly.
Can I use 4200?
Thanks guys!

before you do any of this, It is best to make SURE your transom cut out is the same thickness all the way around and take a straight edge to it as well ----- exterior and interior areas that bolt up the transom assembly and somewhat past. Without checking it 100 percent, that can be a leak source - existing one and or a leak(s) waiting to happen.
Many builders lay up thickness thru out the transom area is not perfect on every boat plus the area can have uneven spots both sides or one side ---- exterior and or interior transom area . . It is very wise to check NOW.
