Default tranny cooler plate....how hard?

So I have a cracked tranny cooler plate to replace can this be done with the engine in place?
It's the r/s cooler plate so it's facing the center stringer between the 2 engines more daylight there.
My engines are pretty tall (572 chevy "tall boys") and little room atop them with Arizona speed
& marine efi's.....one thing certain, hatch has to be removed pretty tight overhead........Scippy

Great to hear it's doable without much involved!...............removing the hatch will be easy...thanks

Tim.........My '82 originally had the split hatch, but it was replaced with a single one..much, if not all
of the boat was remodeled in '96.........she sat for 20 years in a warehouse before I brought her home
in March of this year!

Thats a nice looking ride skippy. I like the SSM drives. What kind of speed you gettin out of her? I always liked the teak cabins in those old school Cigs.
