That car was on ebay for 1/2 that expected auction price.......and it didn't sell.

Neat car, great history but the fact of the matter is they made like 7000 TR's and Don Johnson was cool but not "Steve Mcqueen cool!"

I think the bullet mustang did a pretty good disappearing act. Did it ever resurface?

Car was way way way over hyped. BJ promoting it as a low 1mm sale was insanity. Reality was it is a repainted used TR from a tv show. Car was serviced recently so it should be a good driver so get your pastel suit ready!

BJ sold a 1988 Red/White TR with 281 miles this weekend for 110K more than the MV TR. There are tons of low mile TR's out there (they made like 7000). Since Enzo died in the middle of the production run lots of collectors put them away as blue chip investments (fail, when you consider the time value of money).

Here is a 981 mile car for 289K. He gets some nice stuff but it is all overpriced.

Jerry J. Moore was a shopping center magnate from Texas that bought dozens of TR's. Since his death, not sure where the cars ended up.

From Ferrari Chat:
Jerry J Moore in a 1991 interview indicated he owned 6 of the F40 models. Two of them were on display for the photographer that day along with a silver Ferrari Daytona Spyder and a 328 GTB. He wanted to buy 6 more of the F40 models so he could own an even dozen of them. A long time collector he also owner 35 of the Testarossa models along with hundreds of other automobiles. Even the air conditioned underground garage at his home was built to hold more than 25 automobiles...
