Best way to mount stand up bolster seats
Whats the best way to mount this style of seat? I know through bolting with a flange on the back would be best, but the gas tank is their and I dont have the room or access. So should i make a stand off so im not just screwing into the 1/2" plywood floor? Or glass in some stainless to the back of the floor for screwing into? I thought of glassing in a stainless plate screwed from the back with studs sticking up too. But stainless tendency to gall over time makes me nervous too. What have you tried? What has held up? What broke or pulled out?

I have found them at one of the home improvements stores before, but they are rare to see there.

I would not be mounting bolsters in filled holes.
Go with these toggle bolts:

or

Grainger has them too, but they are much more expensive.
