Default Blower jetting

Ok I got blowers for my 489s. B &m 250 with dominator 1050 centered not offset. Cam in 741. We have 8.2:1 compression with EQ 320 iron heads. I am boost referencing the carbs. Question is do i need to run power valves frint and rear and what is a safe baseline jetting. My idle preblowers was 11-12 inches of vacuum. Im planning on a 5.5 powervalve primary only. Any help is appreciated

What is the linkage ratio on the dominator? And what model is it? 8896, 9375, etc?

I would run PV primary only, really need a wideband to tune correctly without just playing russin ruliet...

These are your old 250 blowers and carbs. What wa ratio. When I got them they had 104 square with 6.5 pv. 12R-8795b. I havent been able to find anything online for that listing.

I remember getting up there in jet when I had those setups. Stock 525sc dominator, was 98 Jets squared if I recall. I would probably start with that setup, and jet down from there using the wideband. Watch the front cylinders, #1 and #2, those were the leanest from what I recall.

I went 99 square 6.5 pv boost referenced front and rear. Did you do anything special to these carbs? Are they 1:1

Nah, only thing i ever did to them was change jets. I ran them for 1 season, and got rid of them to go to the 420 blower setups. I sold the 250 stuff to another oso member about 6 years ago.

If i recall they were a soft stage progression, pretty much 1:1, but its been a while.
