Default DesktopDyno users find my mistake

I plugged in all the stock #'s for a merc 525sc, but I'm not getting the right power #'s. My stock 454 mag came within 1 hp of its rated power when I ran it on desktopDyno. Heres a summary:

Engine: 454 4.251"x4.000"
Heads: Stock Merc rectangular port cast iron
Compression: 7.5:1
Induction: [email protected]"hg, Weiand 177, belt gear ratio 2:1, 55% eff
Exhaust: default to Forced induction exhaust
Camshaft: Crane#132561 530/551 lift, 298,306 advertised duration, using seat to seat

Desktop dyno horsepower estimates, stock 525sc:
4500rpms=444hp
5000rpms=486hp
5500rpms=510hp

Way low #'s. Ive had good results with other motors.

I'm guessing that #'s at 5200 are probably real close to 500hp. Based on that the desktop #'s are only off by 5%. I don't think 5% is THAT far off. Could it be the blower efficiency # or the exhaust causing the difference????

I know puder had an engine with pretty close to 525SC specs and it dynoed at 550hp+/-. If I remember, he had a little more cam and comp ratio.

I've never gotten useful numbers with Dyno2000 using .050" numbers. Seat-to-seat has been much closer to known figures for known setups. Don't know why, but this has been my experience.

Seat to seat has worked best for me, but I'll experiment to see what happens with the 525 simulator.
