Default Corsa Quick & Quiet Plus?

I have not seen a system but I've heard they have a muffler built into them at the transom. If so, does it hurt perfomance?

I've got one of these systems too and always wondered the same thing. When we bought the system we grilled Corsa and Merc about this and they both said 'does not affect performance'.
I would recon that if you still have the Y tube in place ,as we do,then you can also bleed any back pressure off through there!
I do believe though that these tips do dissipate the exhaust roar on a 502 quite effectively without making the engine sound wimpy.I will be interested to see the feedback on this from the knowledgable members on board .

I didn't know there was a glitch, I just thought we weren't getting any responses. It seems to me that it would kill performance. If I buy a boat, I'm thinking about leaving it off and just buying some external tips.

If you're looking at buying a new boat I would think that the Q&Q+ tips would be an extra cost option not standard eq.The straight through tips would be OEM.
Still it has to be factored in what your local noise ordnances are like. Here you can get nabbed and warned if your boat is excessively loud even though there is not yet any printed regs on boat sound levels. We have many land based noise laws..none of which are enforced for political reasons ! When I did this whole project I looked down the road (way in the distance) anticipating possible noise regs and got the Corsa Q&Q+ tips with silent choice (oops that should be Captains Choice as Corsa calls it).Like I said in an earlier
dissappearing post I can run through the Y pipe also so this could ,in our case, bleed some back pressure off too.

Besides, there are any number of places that you don't really want to be making a ton of noise so a switchable system is also a plus

I've always heard that if you were caught because of being to loud, you weren't allowed to have a switch type exhaust... it had to be fixed. That's why I don't know why so many people invest in these systems anyway.

I had posted this picture of an internal look at the mufflered cans.
IMHO they would be restrictive.
I ordered identical one gutted (big) 7" from Corsa as a replacement to maintain the factory look.
I will keep these for future laws, they are on the shelf....

That looks restrictive to me.
