So 270 for a 1998 is average or a little better than average.
Is 270 alot on this engine? Its all stock and has had the oil changed 2-3 times a season?
Sorry for the stupid questions. My current boat is only 6 cylinder with no hour meter. The hour thing really messed with my head!!

The 7.4L is a very durable motor in stock form. I had a 280 Baja with twin 7.4`s and sold it after 780 hours of fantastic service. They are still running strong. (oil changed every 20 hrs)
A buddy of mine has a parasail boat with a single 7.4. It has over 2500 hrs, never been apart and still runs fine.
