Default steering

Jumping up h.p. in 99 27' checkmate looking for suggestion on stock steering for safety. Can I add another cylinder to stern drive connected to original system or will I need a whole new set up. Thanks for the help.

Check with the steering manufacturer. You may need to change to a larger capacity helm unit.....

The only upgrade is to go to external steering. You can go single of dual ram. Check out the steering for 500 bucks thread. Should be a couple pages in, not to far. I know that Maxx and Alfster from the board are running a KILLER deal on their set up right now.
