Default Best Hull support location from boat lift bunks??

Which is the best width location to place the bunks from a hydro hoist lift as far as hull support? Stability is not the issue as either is fine, the location of where the hull is the strongest is my question.

2 choices,
1st is at 36" outside to outside, closer to the keel. Or
2nd is 67" outside to outside of the bunks, closer to the sides.
Lengths will be the same.

Both of these locations are from my Eagle trailer bunk locations which will place the lift bunks along the chines and trap the boat straight.

Thanks

lve always figured the strongest part of the bottom is where the stringers are. Dont know if that helps.

US1 Fountain,

When I set mine up I placed them directly under where the stringers are. I also never put it on the lift or trailer unless there is bunk out past the transom. If you leave the boat hanging over either I feel that over time it may develope a hook in the hull due to the unsupported weight. I also have 2 bunks per side (total of 4) instead of the standard 2 per side. I figured it would dissipate the weight over a larger area and give more and better support. Have been very happy with our Hydra Hoist.

Thanks guys. I checked the boat today. Luckly, there are stringers at both of my choices. Life is GOOOOOOOOOD!

Get yourself a MYCO craddle for the lift. Gives great support and centers the boat every time. You will not be disappointed.
