Question Sea Demon

Anybody tried one of Barry Grant's Sea Demon carbs? Just wondering if anybody has any experience with one. I know on the automotive side, people love the Demon carbs. They seem like a decent buy.

????

A buddy of mine put two in his 29 Fever after building his motors up to about 500 hp. Had nothing but problems with the carbs. He sold the boat and told the new owner the first thing he should do is toss the Demons. (My only experience with them.)

My brother has one on his car. Looks and runs well.
Did a lot of playing with it. Different power valve, jets..
All holley parts.
The sea demon the only make up to 750cfm, then you have to go to the race demon. Not coast guard approved.
I bought a new 800 holley marine from Chief for $400.
There good enough for merc., there good enough for me.
