Default spring startup

After being in storage for the past 6 months I'd kind of like to crank the motor over for 5 or 10 seconds to get a little oil flowing before start up. Silly question, but is it OK to pull the coil wire and do this on a 98 454mag efi? Is it even necessary? I do use synthetic oil and saw a few thoughts on how it drains off after extended storage. Thanks
