SWITCHING 4 TO 5 BLADES
You will have less slip ,and they will acclerate much stronger, and run alot smoother,as far as tail lift I, would think having a extra blade working would creat more stern lift with these props.Darin

Darin,
I talked to you yesterday about work on my props and saw this post.I have the Kaama drives on my cat with 4 blade 17X28 props and I thought that I had too much slip. The 5 bladed prop caught my attention. Are these readily available in the used market.By the way I have a bunch of props I need to unload if you know of anybody
1 set each of 3 bladed long shaft 19 spline 29's and 26's and one set of short shaft 23's if you klnow of anybody.

Shawn,
The engines are unbelievable. They run great and have tons of power. The problem I am having is finding the right prop.I am running a 28 four blade with a 17 diameter and it is still not enough but I cannot afford to keep on buying props to try.I am going to get some GPS readings this weekend end see what I get and see if the props can be tweeked up a couple of inches. If you run into some 4 blade large diameter and long shaft props for #3 drives let me know.I think I may need low 30's on pitch.
