kill switches
i'm looking to add kill switches to my boat as it was not equiped with them from the factory. it is a 260 scorpion with a pair of small blocks and i just think it would be a good idea to have them. i kind of like the ones that Donzi uses with the toggle switch. anybody have any links or places i can find them (actually links to any kill switch would be cool ). any ideas? thanks all

Mercury makes them. I am sure you can get them from Bam and many other places. They have a couple wires for normally open and normally closed operation so you can put them in a couple different ways. I would use the black ones that have the caps. HOWEVER make sure you get extra caps. Because if you ever get tossed then the people on board will need a way to come back and get you!!!

We carry the Merc Cap style mentioned above. Just give a call if you need. Use our part 368 100 (Merc 87-856654A1). Recommend you get an extra cap too.

Merc one runs 25 bucks. Nice piece.
Question: On an MSD ignition, can you just use the ignition power wires @ the key switch for the safety switch, or do you have to run wires back to the main power feed for the box??

I used the switch from Cpperformance
Great toggle switch
I have extra clips, but you are still able to flip the toggle up without the cord. thiss can be both good n bad
main reason I went with this is due to one switch will kill twin engines
it hooks to the key switch
