Default FYI,Houston Prop

Months ago I hit "something" and REALLY screwed my 26 Bravo 1.I mean it looked like someone tried to open it like a can of spam.Being too big for a paper weight,I decided to toss it!Then I thought,I'm not a prop professional(like Darin & Sean),MAYBE I should send it to HOUSTON PROP so they can get a good laugh. This box arrived last week with a "new" labbed 26 in it!! Imagine my surprise!!! Called Darin to tell him he sent me someone else's prop.Happily,I was informed it was my "old"26.Long story short,72.8gps,5500rpm,great mid-range,sticky water,85 deg,95 humidity(tipical New Orleans)28'PowerQuest,stockHP500efi.I'm happy!! Prop screwed?call 1-281-580-7767

Prowler,It's very interesting. My Houston prop leaves better and has a better top end. Both are 26?Houston prop 5500rpm,brand x 5200(give or take needle bounce)Both are very smooth, but obivious difference!Called brand x with serial # and found brand x had 300rpm decrease put in.SOOO,Brand x is "like" a 27.Now my 24 labbed (HOUSTON also)leaves like a rocket,my Houston 26 is my best over all,Brand x will pull 5500 with the new AFR heads, life is good!!!(Man,you gotta fast boat)BOB

at speeds you are running actually a polished prop will run slower thana satin finished prop.as the satin finish creates friction and helps hold the BITE.
