I'm running a #12 braded line from the siphon tube, in the tank, to a Berry Grant fuel filter. I "T" the line coming out of the filter, with one leg going to a mech. pump on the motor, and the other leg going to an electric fuel pump. Both of these lines are #10. I have a one-way valve in the line from the fuel filter to the mech. pump, so the mech. pump can't force fuel back through the el. pump.
#10 line out of the mech. pump to the inlet side of the fuel log and the same from the el. pump to the inlet side of the fuel log. There are 2 separate inlets on the fuel log.
#6 lines to ea. of the 4 inlets of the dual 1000+ cfm. Holley carbs. They are the model #4160HP series and not Dominators.
I run the mech. pump for normal boating, as I have the el. pump hooked to a pressure switch that "triggers" the el. pump to run when the blower reaches 4PSI of boost.
I have a fuel pressure "return" regulator on the outlet side of the fuel log set to #8 lbs. that returns the excess fuel to a separate port on the tank. This line is #10
I've run this system for 3 years on 572c.i. PSI supercharged, 1100hp. motors, and have yet had any fuel delivery problems.
If You have any further questions, give me a call and I would be happy to help you.
