drive lock key lost
I purchased my boat last year and now I want to take the drives off and one has a lock that I've never seen before. it says "abloy" on it .it's stainless and it looks to be about 1 1/4 od by 3" long with a plastic cap screwed in the end when I unscrewed the cap it looks like the key would be a circle cut in half almost like a door knob to youre house. Has anyone have any idea where to get a key .

Abloy , is a lock manufacturer, they specialize in "pick proof" locks. your best bet is to grind it off if you dont have the key. Or possibly call a lock smith if there is a code on the lock you may be able to get a key but doubtfull. If the guty is not a Abloy dealer he wont be able to get one. I am not even sure if they put codes on the locks. One thing for sure it is a unique key and you cannot go to ace and have one made. http://www.abloy.com/index.cfm?changesetnow=11
