Need a Prop!! Need suggestions!
I got so caught up in making the boat run, I forgot I needed to make it 'run'. Dont laugh too hard but it currently has a 19" prop made of some metal other than stainless (Alum ACK!).
Here's the background: 1978 Formula F-20. 20 ft of unknown weight (anyone have an educated guess?), making an unknown amount of power (according to DestopDyno it makes ~350hp, 400ftlbs of tq). It's a new 383, sportsman 2 heads XM270hr cam, performer intake. And an (what will be a very short lived) 898 drive.
I have NO clue what prop I would need. All I know is that the one I currently have is not even suitable as a spare. ANY help is appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestions guys! It's good to go to places that are suggested by others on here. It helps weed out the chaff.
Baja: I'd love to try it if I can sometime. (motor going in REALLY soon)

Your probally looking at peak hp @ about 5000 or so...A 19' prop probally will be close. I have a 86 Formula F3LS and need to get my prop/s dialed in also. Im running a 19' Ballistic and am pusing about 5200 rpms in a 1.5 Alpha. Need to get mine to about 5400. You need to get accurate info in your desktop dyno and figure out your best rpm's Im also running the 270 cam and with it maxes out at 5300rpms. Im running a 358 so your 383 is probally closer to 5000....
