Pros/Cons of a cleaver prop?
I'm currently running a Mercruiser Mirage (round-ear) prop, 14 5/8" x 23" pitch. I've found a good deal on a cleaver prop in the same configuration. Any advantage/disadvantage to running a cleaver? Boat is 26' Corsa w/454-330 & TRS.
Not seeking top-speed, more interested in efficiency.
Thanks in advance,

The cleaver won't be what you want. The cleaver is a prop that typically delivers good top speed but a poor mid range and hole shot.
I assume you are referring to a "can cleaver". Used ones are usually available pretty cheap.
The Mirage is a good prop when mated to the TRS drive as it is usually mounted deep in the water.
What kind of speed and rpm do you see now?
