Default Removing # 6 Drive Spacers

Are there any new parts/shafts/seals/gaskets required when removing an existing 2" spacer from a wet # 6 Drive?

There are 2 orings w/ spacer(one on each side of spacer).Remove spacer and 1 oring. Need to put back original studs too (8 studs). Thats if your taking out the spacer totally. Each different length spacer requires different studs.

If you are just testing it without the spacers, knowing that there is a chance you may need to go back or put in a size in between, don't pull out the studs yet. You could have someone turn some aluminum spacers to put over the studs and take up the extra length or you could just stack up a bunch of washers on each stud under the nut (ugly).

Thanks for the idea Falcon, spoke to Speedmasters today and they suggested the same.

Thanks again, its a cheap experiment with washers, as Mercury wants nearly $24.00 per stud x 16 each.
