Default Maximum stroke in a 427 tall deck block?

With and without grinding? What's a good minimum clearance between the rod and the block?

Thanks,
Bob

Default

4.75" with alot of grinding. . .4.500" with minimal grinding. .060" is safe for steel rod engines.
